Recently, Trustees of the Rotary Foundation made Robert Grede of Milwaukee a Paul Harris Fellow for his contributions to humanitarian and educational programs that benefit needy around the globe.

The award is named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary International in 1905.
Rotary has been a leader in the fight to eradicate polio. Since 1979, the End Polio Now project has reduced incidences of polio 99 percent throughout the world.
 
Grede, a best-selling author, raised money through the sale of his books at Rotary presentations. Grede appeared at 74 different Rotary Clubs throughout the country in the past 24 months.
 
Rotary International brings together business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian services and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
 
Members join local clubs, but all are part of the worldwide Rotary community. Grede is a member of Rotary Amigos de Milwaukee.

At a recent Rotary Amigos de Milwaukee Club meeting, President-Elect Tre Waldren presented member, Robert Grede, with his Paul Harris Fellowship recognition. 
 
Rob is continuing a tradition that started with Rob’s grandfather and then his father becoming the third generation to attain receive this honor in recognition for his support of Rotary International and its educational and humanitarian programs, both locally and world-wide.
 
The presentation of Paul Harris Fellow recognition is The Rotary Foundation's way of expressing its appreciation for a substantial contribution to its humanitarian and educational programs. It is named for our founder, Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer who started Rotary International with three business associates in 1905.
 
We move closer to a world of peace and good will today as Rob Grede becomes a Paul Harris Fellow. Rob’s gift to The Rotary Foundation's educational and humanitarian programs is a commitment to peace and to a better life for people across the world whom Rob may never meet. This is a truly selfless action.
