The Alzheimer’s/Dementia Rotary Action Group (ADRAG) is a dedicated collection of Rotary members aimed at supporting our Rotary family and communities as they face the challenges of dealing with loved ones and citizens affected by Alzheimer's and/or dementia. Partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association, ADRAG collaborates closely with them in their annual Walk to End Alzheimer's® event, the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Within Rotary District 6270, there are 10 Walks scheduled, starting in September.
Registration for the Walk is free. Participants are encouraged to raise funds critical for the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care, support, and advance research for prevention, treatment, and a cure. By carrying flowers, participants symbolically contribute to raising funds and awareness in the fight against Alzheimer's and dementia. Walks will take place in various locations throughout the district. They are:
Natraj Shanker has taken the initiative to organize a team from the Rotary Club of Milwaukee for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. If you reside in Milwaukee County, you are warmly invited to join their team. Calling all Rotary members to unite for one of the 10 walks this Fall! Let us join hands and show our support for the over 120,000 Wisconsinites living with Alzheimer's and the more than 191,000 dedicated caregivers. Together, we can make a significant difference in the fight against Alzheimer's. Let us walk with purpose, raise awareness, and contribute to the ongoing efforts to improve the lives of those affected by this challenging disease.

May 30, 2023, Amigos Serves Taco Salad Dinner
Every 5th Tuesday of the month, Amigos Rotarians prepare and serve dinner to the women and children at Cathedral Center. This project is in its 5th year of partnership. Chair Frey Faris made 21 pounds of meat and the Jewish Food pantry donated meat, cheese and chips. Friends and family of Rotarians Melissa Ricky and Frey Faris. Dinner was a hit and everyone enjoyed this healthy and super tasty meal.
Rotarians IN Action - Volunteering at Ronald McDonald House
Friday, June 9, Amigos Rotarians gathered to open and sort donations and clean spaces at the Ronald McDonald House in preparation for new families coming to support their hospitalized child during these stressful times.
